Winter. You love the snow, the cute sweaters and an excuse to eat all the sweets in the office. One thing you probably notice changing but don’t know what to do about it is your skin! You know the stuff that you want to keep youthful, moisturized and healthy. Colder months affect our skin and how it looks. Luckily, there’s a few easy things you can do to make sure you are fab no matter the time of year!
Lips are the first to feel the wrath of the cold. Chapped, dry lips are never fab but always pop-up when the temperature drops. Try using a toothbrush to exfoliate your lips or use an easy mixture of sugar and olive oil to get sexy smooth lips that won’t scare your date away.
Dull skin is a big no no! Fight those evil powers by exfoliating regularly, using a moisturizer that is water based and not skipping the eye cream. In winter months I usually use heavier moisturizers and lighter ones in the warmer seasons. Most important don’t forget that SPF is essential! It may be a little less sunny but those UV rays are out to get you!
Your nail beds are technically just as important as any other part of your skin and body. Even though your hands are covered in mittens, they are drying out rapidly because of heating systems. Keep items around like heavy duty hand and cuticle cream, salves with essential oils or just regular almond oil. Clinique and Burts Bees make inexpensive ones that can save you during winter.
